Economy:

We will run a deficit of $1.5 Trillion this year and currently have an underemployment rate of 19%. We must foster an environment that creates jobs and opportunities in the marketplace. The Obama Administration is not a true proponent of a free and effective capitalistic system. The current government’s anti-business attitude is making America less competitive in the global economy. For starters the Federal Government should freeze all spending, except to the extent necessary to meet national security requirements; make the Bush Tax Cuts permanent; stop over-regulating business; adopt appropriate reforms to ensure that the reasons behind the current economic crisis are not allowed to occur again; stabilize Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and all entitlements; reform tax policy and make a concerted effort to downsize our Federal Government.

Foreign Policy:

The United States is the world’s sole super power; the rest of the world understands this and wants this even if the liberals in Washington do not. We must reaffirm our worldwide alliances and refuse to pander to our enemies, especially the Jihadists who preach and plot our destruction. Terrorists are not common criminals, they should be treated as enemy combatants. The protections of our civilian courts are not appropriate for terrorists and it is repugnant to think that terrorists would be tried in the same manner as a car thief and would be released in our streets. We need to continue to support our military and to provide them with the resources necessary to satisfy their various missions and commitments around the globe.

Immigration:

Our Federal Government has failed in its responsibility to enforce our immigration laws. Our first priority must be to secure our borders and provide the resources necessary to enforce our immigration laws. A provisional guest worker program is necessary to fill needed seasonal employment but a blanket amnesty for illegal immigrants is not a reasonable solution. We must correctly interpret the 14th amendment which does not give birthright to the children of illegal immigrants.

Healthcare:

The new health care bill is a giant step towards the nationalization of our health industry. Healthcare is a personal decision, not the government’s; we need to be able to choose our own doctors and hospitals. Getting tough on fraud, and abuse, as well as supporting realistic tort reform is critical to controlling healthcare cost. We should have portability of coverage and create a standardized secure electronic medical record system which will ultimately save lives and streamline the delivery of medical care and treatment.
